Our Story
The Xanda Initiative was founded by Oshode Sylvester to respond to Africa’s most pressing challenges — from energy poverty and climate change to food insecurity and economic inequality. What began as a vision to empower communities has grown into a movement driving innovation, resilience, and inclusive growth across the continent.
Since our inception, we have worked to break down the barriers that limit progress toward a more equitable and sustainable Africa. Our efforts focus on tackling the lack of:
- Access to clean and affordable energy for rural and underserved communities
- Supportive financial and policy frameworks that enable local innovation and green enterprise
- Practical models for climate-smart agriculture that strengthen food systems and livelihoods
